2025 Climate-Friendly Rice Program
Rice Growers are eligible for the Whitaker Farms 2025 Climate-Friendly Rice Program if they perform Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) or Row Irrigated Rice.
The program will issue payments to growers through two different mechanisms: a Data Program and a Marketing Program.

Whitaker Farms is enrolling growers in partnership with AgriCapture.
Data Program
Growers will receive an upfront Data Payment of $30 or $40 per enrolled acre depending on the quality of provided data. Data quality is determined by the AgriCapture Field Data team.
Marketing Program
Growers will receive $0.25 per withheld bushel to compensate growers for withholding marketing and maintaining identity preservation of Climate Friendly Rice until November 15th, 2025.
How do the payments work?
Enrollment Example
If a grower enrolls 1,000 acres in the Data Program, they receive a $30 per acre upfront payment ($30,000). If they commit to withholding 100,000 bushels in the Marketing Program for AgriCapture to market, they will receive $0.25 per bushel ($25,000) at the end of the season, upon confirmation of practice and storage requirements. By withholding rice, the grower is eligible for a premium above standard pricing should AgriCapture successfully market Climate-Friendly Rice to premium buyers. This premium is in addition to the Data and Marketing Payments. The grower has the option to accept the premium based on pricing, delivery terms, delivery location, and timing; the farmer is not required to accept the offer if it is not a true premium relative to alternative marketing opportunities. Premium offers are not guaranteed. The grower does not have to commit 100% of their bushels to the Marketing Program from the 1,000 acres he enrolled in the Data Program. The grower can enroll as many bushels as they are comfortable with or that there is storage for.
